Media Releases
On 14 April 2021 CICL made a joint media statement with Murrumbidgee Irrigation and Murray Irrigation expressing our concern with the lack of progress of important Sustainable Diversion Limit Adjustment Mechanism projects.
The success of the sustainable diversion limit adjustment mechanism is vital to avoiding further buybacks from our foot print because of the Basin Plan. We have been communicating to both the state and federal governments the importance of these projects and the need for flexibility to find alternatives projects.
We have joined with the other Irrigation Corporations in the Riverina to highlight the importance of the adjustment mechanism to our communities and the urgent need for governments to work with communities to find solutions.
